Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test...

NBPC - The Daydreamer

Nature, Background, Big Picture, and Color

You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow.

OF NOTE: Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream Bar is not nearly as awesome as it sounds, and definitely not worth the almost $3 I spent on one. Take heed, gentle reader (if you actually exist).

Oh yeah and hi by the way, how are you?

Hey, maybe the transfer went through! That would be AWESOME.

In other news, I had a dream last night! I will tell you about it. I was a member of the cast of The Office (US version). It is unclear to me now whether it was as if The Office was real, or if it was just as a tv show. I had a crush on Jim, only I got the feeling that most of the people there didn't really like me, because I seemed to eager to please or was trying too hard or wasn't cool like them or something. When I watched myself interacting, though, I looked like my friend Holly, only I knew it was me and I had an insane set of eyelashes. When I was feeling bad, though, I was not watching myself but rather was seeing out of my own eyes. I think some Dumbrella people showed up too but I cannot be certain of this.

Things to take away from this dream:

1. Actors really are very rarely as awesome as they seem on a show. While I do not know this to be the case here I do know it to be the case at other times, so I'm willing to make this assumption.

2. I really ought to give Holly a call, say hi, maybe hang out, because she is awesome.

3. I might be watching too much of The Office and perhaps obsessing. That is No Good.

4. I made some scalloped potatoes last night that would pretty much cause coronaries in older people. I consider this a success and am fancifully imagining starting a restaurant focused mainly on the potato (I'd have to get someone else in to handle meat). The reason this is relevant is because it was very rich and very rich food often leads to interesting dreams.

5. I find it slightly sad how happy I was to realize that I was a member of that show's cast. Laaaame

George's Secret Weapon: Sluttiness

I admit, I didn't actually read the article before putting it here. I just think the title is hilarious.

"Net neutrality is clearly divisive and ill defined and many senators do not want it (that issue) to stand in the way of consumer video choice,'' said Verizon spokesman David Fish.

Better that the masses have access to as many mind-numbing, soul-sucking, wastes of time and space that are a lot of tv programs and movies, rather than have unfettered, unbiased access to the internet and all the information (and profanity) it might contain. Senators know that much.

Or, at least, lobbyists do.

The Prince of Monaco's got an illegitimate kid!

You would think that, with all the fears of paternity suits and stuff like that, guys would welcome the idea of a male contraceptive pill. But no, it's not manly to have nonfunctioning swimmers, or maybe they can't be bothered to take a pill regularly, or maybe they just don't fucking care.

"In Europe, these things are in the open, and the only issue is to be careful. Here in the U.S., people are still arguing about whether it's O.K. to have sex."

Amen. The so-called "culture of life" is a culture of fear.

Ignorant fear too, often enough.

Moby Dick whaling vessel found in San Francisco

Looks like my old professor is not short at all on work, and is probably squeeing himself silly over such a delicious find. Hopefully he won't be too rushed in the excavation, as most CRM archaeologists are (as time is money to most businessmen who are "unfortunate" enough to have such things on their land), because this really is quite a neat discovery.

Such nerding out! Maybe I will email him and say hi (probably not). Who knows, maybe the fact I know him would help get me a job at the SF Historical Society/Museum when it gets its funding (also probably not).
